Position Overview

Cromwell Architects Engineers is seeking a Licensed Architect to join our firm at our new regional office location in South End - Charlotte, NC. This is an exciting opportunity for the mid-career professional who is looking to lead projects while also actively participating in the growth of Cromwell's newest regional office.

What to Expect

This position is best suited for individuals who are ambitious and inspired through creativity and collaboration, as they will serve as a project leader for new and existing clients while also engaging in client relationship development and maintenance.

The architect will direct design efforts throughout the design and construction phases of multiple projects. They must exhibit signs of leadership, solve problems by applying the foundational principles of design, and identify and effectively communicate deviations in the project scope. They will also coordinate, and guide, the design and project meetings with clients and the project team.

Job Functions & Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and produce content, products, and final design deliverable, as required.
  • Develop design documentation through design and construction phases while ensuring Cromwell standards are upheld
  • Coordinate and lead design and project meetings with clients and project team
  • Participate with the regional and home-office team to present final products to our clients and key stakeholders
  • Identify, communicate, and document deviations in the project scope while managing client and stakeholder expectations
  • Coordinate and lead design and project meetings with clients and project team.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of existing client relationships while fostering new client relationships
  • Lead and participate in project interviews for new projects
  • Actively look for and recommend ways to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity

Minimum Requirements

  • Registered Architect with eligibility to be licensed in the state of NC within 60 days of hire
  • 7+ years of experience
  • Exceptional Revit and Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience in managing and leading project teams, including multi-disciplined design teams
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Ability to travel as required to perform project work (Roughly 10% travel expected.)

Advantageous Qualifications

  • Design experience in industrial/manufacturing and/or US Federal Government facilities
